Snapper

Privacy policy

Effective August 3, 2026

Snapper does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. This policy explains what stays on your device and what is sent only when you choose a connected feature.

Information stored on the device

Snapper stores the following in app-private storage:

  • photos saved to the Snapper library;
  • questions, answers, and photo or network status metadata;
  • app settings, including a configured Android network path and username; and
  • an OpenAI API key and, on Android, an SMB password, when provided.

Saved credentials are encrypted using keys held by Android Keystore or iOS Keychain. Snapper does not include those credentials in photos, answer reports, or system share-sheet content.

You can delete individual or multiple local photos within Snapper. Removing Snapper through the operating system also removes its app-private local data, subject to the device and platform’s normal deletion behavior. Copies placed on a network share or sent to another app are controlled by that destination.

OpenAI photo questions

OpenAI features are optional. Before the first OpenAI photo upload, Snapper shows an in-app disclosure and asks for affirmative permission. When you ask a question about a photo, Snapper sends:

  • the selected photo;
  • the question and short instructions needed to produce the answer; and
  • your OpenAI API key.

This information is sent over HTTPS directly to OpenAI. Snapper sets the Responses API store option to false, but OpenAI may process or retain API data under your OpenAI agreement, account settings, and applicable policies.

Snapper stores the returned answer locally with the photo. AI output may be inaccurate. A value response is not a professional appraisal.

Answer reports

If you choose Report answer, Snapper sends the selected question, answer, report category, and any optional comment to KSXCO over HTTPS. The photo and API key are not included. KSXCO uses reports only to investigate safety, quality, and policy issues and retains them only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and legal obligations.

To request deletion of a submitted report, emailsupport@ksxco.com with enough detail to identify it. Because reports do not include a Snapper account or device identifier, we may be unable to locate one without its content or approximate submission time.

Network storage

On Android, when you configure an SMB network share, Snapper connects directly from the device to that location. Snapper can send photos and question-and-answer text files to the share and list filenames to show network status. KSXCO does not receive or operate that share. The share owner is responsible for its security, access controls, backups, and deletion.

Voice input and sharing

Voice input is optional and uses the speech-recognition service available on the device. Depending on device settings and the selected provider, audio may be processed on the device or by that provider. Snapper receives the recognized text and uses it as your question.

When you choose Share, Snapper passes the selected photo to the operating system’s share sheet. The destination you select controls the resulting copy.

Permissions

Snapper requests camera access to take photos, microphone access only when you choose voice input, and internet or network access for OpenAI, answer reports, and Android user-configured SMB storage. Snapper does not request location, contacts, phone, SMS, broad file-management, or advertising-identifier permissions.

Children

Snapper is a general productivity and photography tool intended for adults. It is not designed for or directed to children under 13, and KSXCO does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Snapper.

Security

Snapper uses HTTPS for OpenAI and KSXCO report traffic, Android Keystore- or iOS Keychain-backed encryption for saved credentials, and app-private storage for its local library. No method of electronic storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy as Snapper changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
