A few straight answers.
Does Snapper need cell service?
No. A spare Android phone or iPhone can become a dedicated Wi-Fi-connected camera without a SIM or cellular plan. Local capture works offline; Wi-Fi is only needed for Android SMB storage or optional OpenAI questions.
Is an iPhone version coming?
Yes. The core iPhone implementation is prepared; the first Xcode, device, and TestFlight validation pass is next.
Does Snapper require OpenAI?
No. Saving locally, sharing through your device, and Android network saving work without OpenAI. Photo questions are optional.
Where is my OpenAI API key stored?
On your device, encrypted using Android Keystore or iOS Keychain. Each user supplies their own OpenAI API key.
Can I download Snapper today?
Snapper is currently in private Android testing. The iPhone build is being prepared for its first Xcode and TestFlight pass while the store releases are completed.
